I realize it's a bit small, but compare it to comparable cities and you'll come to the same conclusion. Old Town seemed like a fairly typical "old town" area of a lot of cities, and was more of a whitewashed pub area than anything historical or cultural or whatever. I mean, every city has bars...though it's been some years now, hopefully Wichita is more fun now.

Understood. And I think you're right. LOL I'll work on my reading comprehension for future posts...

But yeah, Old Town actually looked like it could be a cool warehouse/bar district. Thing is it was totally dead on a relatively nice FRIDAY night in April. Same response was simply that "people only come out on sat nights...." Prob didn't help that the hometown hero got knocked out down the street @ Kansas Star Casino in a Bellator fight...

I've been to Witchita. It's pretty sucky - even Old Town.

Most fun:
Columbus OH
Nashville TN
Tampa FL (loved the whole tampa Bay Area)

Most Boring:
Dayton OH

Most cities I have been to have really drawn me in and find unique or interesting in some way. Dayton though to me is boring and depressing.

Most boring:
anywhere in "middle" American (Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska -- yikes! Any/all of it!) … large cities in Texas (Dallas, Austin, San Antonio) are exceptions
So...Chicago, Twin Cities, St Louis, KC, and the like? Or just out on the Plains?

Dayton is a small city. What were your expectations?

I gotta ask what are people looking for when they visit cities? Are they seeing the sites? The hotel bar sucks? Or just going to a city to go bar hopping?
