Why are some people so hung up on southern culture am I the most open minded person on here when it comes to appreciating other regional cultures around the country for what they are.
I know South Florida is different. My family lives in South Florida. Born and raised for nearly a century. They look at themselves as Southerners. *shrugs* Were they and the people I know down there wrong?

That's great that they do. But Black people in DC and Maryland in general aren't walking around calling repping the South as much as Black people in Miami and the rest of South Florida. Which is what I'm squarely focusing on myself.

If South Florida is southern, then DC is sure as hell southern. At least I can find a decent Jewish deli in South Florida. Sheesh.
