Sure, N.Y., Chicago, S.F. are nice, but don't forget these overlooked locales

Everyone knows cities like New York, San Francisco, and Chicago are among the best in the U.S.

Nope. We're having fun with you, Donie.

Thanks to a large influx of illegal immigrants, the quality of life in Los Angeles is considered the worst among 25 major cities. Read this survey, Donnie. LA ranks LAST among 25 cities in terms of quality of life

I'm sorry San Francisco dropped to #5 because of that earthquake in 1906 that gave the "Premier city in the West" title to Los Angeles. Each of the four cities represents each of the four regions of the United States. The Western United States has already been taken. Sorry! Better luck next time. Oh wait, what next time?

lol why u keep posting up that bad link? that is a survey. just tell me if LA is the worst than why does it have the most tourist? in 1950 chicago population was 3,620,962 and in 2006 the population is 2,833,321 .

same with san fran, they had all those people and now look what rank it falls in. wow by going by the list alot of new yorkers left the city also.
while LA population is constantly growing.

Well of course theres going to be a bad quality of life in a city full of immigrants!
look at New York in the early 20th century and even now!

Yet, not everybody in Los Angeles has a bad quality of life.

You don't need collected data to prove that a city full of immigrants has a high bad quality of life.

Talking about celebrity, let's all congratulate NY for having Mahmoud Ahmadinejad over at Columbia, turning him into a rock star and promoting him as just another NY story, while hiding that promotion under the gise of outrage over his being there in the first place. You can see the pleasure of outrage all over the faces of everyone out in the street, searching for the nearest camera. Now, that's fake! Reminded me of when John Kennedy Jr. died and the residents of his NY neighborhood ran around looking for the nearest cameras, screaming, "He was one of us! He was one of us!" Actual quote. Now these things are the most fun of NY.

I'd rate Austin, Boston, SF, D.C., Miami, Portland, Seattle, San Diego above Houston. Size isn't the only determinent of what makes a city great. Tehran, Iran has a larger population than NY. But I'd rate NY above it. I'd even rate Dallas and Atalanta above Houston. In any event, it is absurd to compare SF to Houston. Houston has annexed much of its surrounding area. If you include the entire "Bay Area" (S.J., Silicon Valley, the East Bay), SF is a major metropolitan area. Houston is for people in oil, poor immigrants, locals who don't know any better, and transplants that can't afford the nice parts of the country. I still don't understand why we can't be honest on these forums- Houston blows.
