the city's being gentrified right now and a lot of crime is being pushed outside the city and into pgc. and in the city, pretty much all the crime is concentrated in northeast and southeast dc.
wow 160 murders by may 1st... was there a plot to comit mass killings like genocide back then?

I've learn a lot about DC, i didn't even know it has a caraibean carnival... i'm having headeach choosing between DC & NYC (ps I'm a black male from africa but grew up in France)

latest numbers I've seen for Detroit.

Quote:
Lt. Dwayne Blackmon, who heads the Detroit Police Department's Homicide Unit, said there had been 67 homicides during the first quarter of this year, which ended March 31, up from 60 by that time last year.
And the number keeps increasing. The department reported 91 homicides through April 17 of this year. Two dozen of those killings happened in just over two weeks earlier this month, based on the statistics released.
By April 17, 2010, there had been 79 homicides, according to the department.

Nonfatal shootings also saw a jump to 232 during the first quarter of this year, compared with 200 by the same time last year, according to the department.
But other crimes saw decreases.
According to the department, comparing through April 17, there were 306 fewer robberies, 874 fewer burglaries, 1,147 fewer assaults and 32 fewer rapes than in the same period last year.
