Where does it state in the Scriptures that HaShem sits back and lets things play out?...

If it is God's will for all to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth, and satan defeats this, then the winner is satan, even if he ends up in what is called eternal hell. He has won in that he has defeated God's purpose to restore all to Himself through Jesus Christ. All were made for Jesus. He died for all and has been made heir of all. God bless and peace.

[/quote]Finn Of course Hitler and Mao are not in heaven sipping nectar, they are both in their graves and will be resurrected with the rest of mankind. They will then be judged and will reap what they have sown and it will be very painful for them, but in the end they will repent and their hearts will be changed, remember " when God's judgments are in the earth all men will learn righteousness." it is only then they shall be saved and become on e of God's family.

That's your theory, but unfortunately it is very different from the story I have heard from other universalists. I guess people are just supposed to pick the more convenient theory and run with it.

Many who believe in Christian UR believe this and have shared this on the site. God bless.

The whole Hitler and Mao thing to me exposes the shallowness of the evangelical belief system. If either of these close to the end of their lives or or even on their death beds confessed the evangelical sinners prayer, they would be huge trophies for the evangelical movement, and everything they have ever done is forgiven and forgotten by God as far as they are concerned, but God cannot forgive unbelief ?,but will cast those in unbelief into eternal torment ?.

For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

Yup, that is the way the cookie crumbles unfortunately... By not believing you are rejecting the gift of Salvation. Think of it like, spitting in God's face if you will.

Now you can go your whole life, but if you accept Christ on your death bed, your are forgiven of your sins.

Now if Hitler and Mao truly accepted Christ as their Savior, then they would be forgiven.

Lord have mercy upon us. How can you spit in the face of the God you do not know ?.

I am referring to those who know and choose not to accept Christ as their Savior. We all have the longing, but some try and fill that God shaped hole with objects that do not fit, i.e. money, sex, etc.

How? By the fact that there are no excuses
Romans 1:20For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
Psalm 19:1
For the director of music. A psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Men are without excuse by not acknowledging that God is. Please see Romans 10 and 11. All are not able to receive Jesus Christ as Lord yet because it is not God's intention.

Romans 10 Brethren, the pleasure indeed of my heart, and my supplication that [is] to God for Israel, is -- for salvation;
2 for I bear them testimony that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge,
3 for not knowing the righteousness of God, and their own righteousness seeking to establish, to the righteousness of God they did not submit.
4 For Christ is an end of law for righteousness to every one who is believing,
5 for Moses doth describe the righteousness that [is] of the law, that, `The man who did them shall live in them,'
6 and the righteousness of faith doth thus speak: `Thou mayest not say in thine heart, Who shall go up to the heaven,' that is, Christ to bring down?
7 or, `Who shall go down to the abyss,' that is, Christ out of the dead to bring up.
8 But what doth it say? `Nigh thee is the saying -- in thy mouth, and in thy heart:' that is, the saying of the faith, that we preach;
9 that if thou mayest confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and mayest believe in thy heart that God did raise him out of the dead, thou shalt be saved,
10 for with the heart doth [one] believe to righteousness, and with the mouth is confession made to salvation;
11 for the Writing saith, `Every one who is believing on Him shall not be ashamed,' (YLT)

Romans 11
5 So then also in the present time a remnant according to the choice of grace there hath been;
6 and if by grace, no more of works, otherwise the grace becometh no more grace; and if of works, it is no more grace, otherwise the work is no more work.
7 What then? What Israel doth seek after, this it did not obtain, and the chosen did obtain, and the rest were hardened,
8 according as it hath been written, `God gave to them a spirit of deep sleep, eyes not to see, and ears not to hear,' -- unto this very day,

God bless.
