No i'm talking about relationship Finn,i'm just not interested in what you call relationship, it sounds more like "from a distance" than a union.

You asked about relationship with Christ, and when I answered, you went on to talk about you and your wife. Not all relationships are exactly the same, like a relationship between man and wife MUST BE different from a relationship between man and daughter. At the same time there are similarities. I said relationship with God includes having God involved in your everyday life and in your thoughts, and you communicate with Him and love Him and He loves you back. All these are comparable to having a wife. There is nothing 'from a distance' in it.

Well, that's too bad.

Where is the beef ?, we ate it all yesterday for dinner.

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, Abba, Father(Daddy God).Romans 8:15.

Here's the deal on these guys (and their women): How do they act when they go to WalMart (okay, bear with me here)? Because they're celebrities, do they think they don't have to wait in lines or take turns looking over the veggies? Sounds crazy? Not really. Richard Roberts (Oral Roberts son) is a perfect example of a first class jerk when it comes to the WalMart test. Oral himself wasn't great at turn taking or not getting his way because he was who he was. I know this because I worked for the university for 3 years--the limit most staffers got before being charged by the ORU Mafia (top dogs that ran the place) as not "understanding the ministry." So I have a lot of ???s about these high profile preachers. Unfortunately they do a lot of damage to those working in the vinyards on a daily basis with their congregations.

But there's this guy down here in Texas I sort of like. He seems sincere and he's not too much with the Fire and Brimstone, which suits me fine.
So I was just wanting to get your opinions of Joel Osteen. What do you guys like and/or dislike about him.
Thanks for your interest!
Pastor Osteen and her husband are just bad for Christianity. He waters down the gospel...I've never heard him actually preach the Gospel--and explain what Jesus did and why we needed Jesus. His sermons are something that could have been heard by watching Dr. Phil or any motivational speaker. He did not attend Seminary and his lack of theological knowledge shows it.

Better than all the other idols.

He actually comes across to me as not wanting praise.

King David like... Heart for God... and a really nice wife, kids, and palace.

Good for him.

He doesn't preach Christianity. He's more of a motivational speaker.

Well, so far he has not gone down the sad road of other Christian tele-evangelists...a story that is full of sex, corruption, and hypocrisy.

I find Joel likeable, and he makes a lot of sense. Work on making the world better, work on yourself...almost makes me have faith again.
