I don't even want to read that story - I see you post a lot of them. I am a 33 year old single white female and mother of an 8 year old - I was going to move to the Fullerton area - but not sure if that's a good idea - maybe if I can afford to be closer to the lake it would be best. I was also thinking Bucktown / Wicker Park and North Humboldt Park but your posts are making me reconsider.

The question is how much you can afford and what size place you need. I assume you need a 2 bedroom?

If you cannot afford a private school you have to open up the neighborhood possibilities.

yes so maybe I should start first with finding a school - are all the Catholic schools good? I heard Bell Elementary is good - also a concern is where can I meet upstanding single men - of all races, say latino / white / european - mixed race, etc. - that aren't in gangs!!! I keep reading about Puerto Rican areas are gangs - but I'd love to meet a quality man - of any ethnicity for the most part - Yes I would want a 2 or 3 bedroom place - as I would probably have visitors often from my home state - but don't want to be in an all white chucky cheese area either! is there balance anywhere? something mids?
