I know, I hear you. That's kind of late to be running in the summer but they have a 6:00 a.m. group. And they don't run 8 hours. We're running 10-12 miles now and it takes about 1.5-2 hours. And if you're trying to meet women, run in the 9:30 and up pace groups. Women outnumber men 8:1. In the faster groups it reverses. You're not going to win the thing unless you are a Kenyan so just have fun!

I've noticed suburbanite girls (at least the ones in the North Shore) mandate the guys they date have cars, even if the guys live in the city. And they definitely look down on guys who don't. Speaking in both generalities and from personal experience.

I lived in the burbs myself for a while and commuted in on Metra when I was working for CMEGroup and every single day the platform and trains had tons of young people. It's not so unthinkable that different people take different paths in life. Especially not in a metro the size of Chicago.
You have no sense of humor.

You don't know me; I have a great sense of humor. But you didn't say anything funny. Sorry, if I took it wrong though.

I go to the city to get the girls!! Subuaran girls get on my nervers. City girls are more open and don't judge if you don't got a ride or not. Especially on the cta.

Most young people in Lincoln Park and Lakeview have no "independence". They are living off mommy and daddy's dollar. That, or they are living on student loans.

I heard from an old friend of mine that something around 80 percent of University of Missouri graduates moved back home after graduation.. Even if they do land an okay job, they're still crushed by student loans.

I've never lived off my parents' money or student loans and I've lived in the Gold Coast, Old Town, River North and Lakeview all in my 20s. Most of my friends also supported themselves with or without roommates.

I'd agree that *some* young people live off their parents, but I think it's a long way from *most*.

Not very many people actually live in "basements". People live in bedrooms. I live in a bedroom in my mom's condo because I don't want to spend a half a month's income on a studio apartment. I have car payments, car insurance and a phone bill to pay. I enjoy luxuries like being able to drive to work. I contibute to my household quite a bit. I don't depend on my mother to eat like some 50 year men who would starve to death without thier wives because they're too "manly" to go to a grocery store or learn how to cook. Now that's funny..
