Nope. I'm just paying myself back. The news just reported that GM's sales are up and they are getting ready to open up two more plants and start selling stock to pay back the debt. Buying their cars and products gets and keeps jobs HERE where we SOOOOOOO need them. Puts more money back into OUR economy as well. This country NEEDS them to be profitable and they can only do that by selling cars.
I'll buy a car or product because I can afford it and I want/need it.
I've got 4 GM products in my garage right now and that does not include the commercial trucks we have that are GM.
Excellent post
And tell your husband to keep looking for a Gen 1 Camaro. By far better looking than any Firebird.
For anybody thinking about purchasing the new Camaro, does it bother you that it was built on your tax dollars? Would it affect your decision to purchase?
Nope. Just like your NSX was built by a country who's government bombed Pearl Harbor and killed over 2000 of our people doesn't bother me.
What color is it now and what was the original color? Any word on what engine is in it? Oh, for someone wanting only a Gen 1 camaro, this would out class it! But then I am very biased toward the Firebird!
I want to say that it is currently white. The original color is that butter yellow color.

Thanks.
Well, we already have two Gen 1's so I'm not really in the market for another. I've got to find me another daily driver in a few months when the teenager takes over my current ride. I'd rather by ME a car than her one, lol.
the only first gen Firebirds or T/A I liked was the 69 with the 400 HO it was awsome and looked like a downsized version of the 1970 GTO.
I would love a 69 T/A with a 400 ram air III and a manual four on the floor with a hurst shifter
I love the styling, but hate the sightlines out of it. The windows are a little short for really good visibility which exasperates my sense of the car's size from behind the wheel and hurts confidence in placing in turns and on the road.

It's a stretch to make that comparison, 60 years ago, a crazy Japanese emperor decided to bomb Pearl Harbor, not Honda Motor Company.
General Motors directly instigated taking tax payer funds, less than 2 years ago. I say that as a Z06 owner. The bailout just posses me off.
