Is there any good buffets in Chattanooga besides Golden Corral, Cici's, Souper Salad..not saying the last two are good I just already know about them. There is usually a casino nearby in all the places we have lived so there were always decent buffets.

Thanks for the info.

Wally's in East Ridge (NW interesection of I-75 and Ringgold Rd) has a good buffet. A professional group I belong to sometimes meets there for lunch. I normally avoid places that advertize "Busses Welcome" and "Bus Drivers Eat Free" because these places tend to go for quantity over quality. I'm big enough already and don't need the quantity, and life is too short to eat bad quality food. But Wally's is actually pretty good.

I personally like:
Evergreen (Chinese) on Battlefield Parkway (Fort O)
Bea's in the East Lake neighborhood is famous for southern style food.
I forget the name, but I also like a Chinese Buffet just off Hwy 153 (North shore) by the mall, and there is some family food buffet across the street.

I forgot about Bea's! It's a different kind of "Buffet", because each table has it's own private buffet. I've heard this style called "family style" serving. Each table has a huge lazy susan in the middle with pots and baskets filled with food. If you want the fried chicken, you just spin the middle around until you can grab some. Same for side dishes, bread, drink tea refills, etc. The fried chicken is excellent!

Unless you go with a large group you'll likely be seated with people you don't know and have to share space and food with them. Drinks at the table includes only coffee, water, and sweet tea (I think you can also get un-sweet tea). If you want soda you'll have to buy a can at the vending machine. None of these are problems for me, but I know some people who can't handle this.

They usually have excellent food, but the line can be long and they're a bit expensive for a lunch meal. When we have clients visiting from out of town we usually try to take them there at least once.

I like the chicken fried fried chicken pie, pork rind casserole, and creamed bear liver at Biscuit Wu's off E 10th St. I hear they're going to put in a vomitorium - Chattanooga's first!
