I have a close friend of mine tell me that the owners of Ilios Noche/Nolen Kitchen will be breaking ground at the corner of Ardrey Kell and 521 in late April early May. The place is going to have a full bakery on premise, all day breakfast,Lunch and dinner. I am looking forward to it opening up!!

The Waffle House always worked for me from college to adulthood.
My wife calls it the 'Affle' as in awful house, though - since we passed one at night one time with the W burned out.
Besides put a quarter in the jukebox and play some of that cool Waffle House music - we had a blast with that way back in college.

Well, this will be practically in my backyard. However, anyone who's ever heard me go on about diner food will understand when I say I am going to adopt a very cautious "wait and see" approach.

I am encouraged by the fact that it will be owned by Greeks from NYC.

This has been in the news, about a month ago. It's going to be called Big View Diner and is a new concept by the group that owns the restaurants mentioned above. I don't know how "authentic NY/NJ" it will be, as these guys are classically trained chefs (Culinary Institute of America, French Culinary Institute). And I think only one of them is from NY, if that matters. I look forward to it!
