My friend owns that development as well as the one where Five Guys is located. He spends a lot of time researching any potential tenant for his projects. They went to Florida and checked it out personally. There is also a new restaraunt with a 1500 square foot rooftop deck that will be in the same complex.
In addition, a Publix is coming right down 521 off Doby Bridge.
Wow, it looks great. I don't think it looks pricey, I'm excited for it to come - I'll definitely check it out!
Rooftop deck? I'm listening :-) That sounds great too....
Looks pricey to me. A shortstack of pancakes for $6.50. I'm accustomed to paying about $2.99 for a short stack of pancakes. Everything else is about 20-30% more than their competitors in the area.
Very interested in seeing how the rooftop deck place works out. Ballantyne Village had one in the plans originally (along with condos) before it was scaled back. I was pretty bummed when the rooftop location there fell through.

I don't mind paying extra for something original or hard to find, but that is just plain out rediculous....
Depends on the food quality. Original Pancake House is more expensive than most breakfast places but they're packed every morning.
The problem with breakfast stuff being expensive is that its easily replicated at home. I can make pancakes for my whole family for less than a $1. So its the convienience of going out you pay for. Not sure I'd pay $6.50 a head for everyone to get pancakes. Same goes for eggs, bacon, etc.
I'm assuming most places are hurting at lunchtime due to all the specials in the area. Libberto's is having 1/2 off this week at lunch and most other places have $5 or less lunch specials to keep up. Not sure having sandwiches in the $8.50 - $10 range will work.
Well we don't know prices yet b/c those on the website appear to be only for the specific locations in Florida.
I agree that pancakes and eggs and bacon seem a little high at $9. Pretty sure I can get something equivalent at Original Pancake House (the supper busy one) for a lower price. Or at the Flying Biscuit.
what is is with these "diners" and their inflated prices? 9 bucks for an omlette? are you kidding me? chalk up another place i wont be eating at....(big view, I'm looking at you too!)
