My guess is if there is a diner up there, your best bet might be something close to the intersection of 84 and the Thruway......I don't remember if its Newburgh or Poughkeepsie, but I think there are some diners in that area....

we used to go to a great one in Freehold Twp...The Empire Diner...yummmm

but I do think they were better in NY than NJ...
