I hate to say it but I only have one more year (child is in 11th grade) that I HAVE to stay in Charlotte. I think then I'll be looking to get out of Mecklenburg County....

I am going to run for the state house in 2 years if Mackey runs for that seat again. Anifani for House. Or I will have to back someone else and help them get elected. This is insane - having that guy represent people and make decisions about MONEY and citizens' welfare!!!! AARRGGHHH.
Where will you go, C'born? There are so many other nice communities outside of Meck . . . but still in NC.

My whole family is here in Charlotte and I work here so I'll have to stay close. I just don't think my blood pressure/heart can take it . I use to watch the school board meetings and scream at the TV (George & Vilma). Now the county commission will be just as bad - not to mention now with a democratic majority our taxes will go up...up...up.......
