I hear - Stay away from: East Charlotte, West Charlotte, University City, Gastonia (all "Hoods")
I am leaning towards Moorseville closer to the lake or huntersville. It will all depend on budget and whats availble at the time im ready to move.
There is a bad section in Gastonia. The whole city is not a "hood". East Gastonia is nice. Schools are best in the SE corner.
Go get em South...! Another blanket statement about Gaston county.... haha
Actually parts of Gastonia on the South side are quite nice. How about Belmont? But wait ...none of this can compare to beloved South Charlotte where everyones poop smells like apple pie.

Yeah, anything south of Franklin is good. Some is working class & some is downright wealthy. For schools, the SE corner is best. There's also nice areas north of Franklin on the east side. Belmont & Cramerton will be going to the new high school, & there's a really nice development in Cramerton, so ya do have to toss them into the mix.
Really, jp, I'm getting sick of this. There's good & bad everywhere.

Is that what this delightful aroma is that I've been smelling ever since I moved to South Charlotte? Thanks for the info.!
You're welcome and the beauty of it all is everyone who moves to South Charlotte instantly has apple pie smelling poop..no delay.
Yup, in an instant
