Southerners have never been more hospitable than any other people. It's one of those folklore things. There are good people and bad people everywhere you go. That's life. I find when I look for the good that's what I find.

Thanks for your insightful posts. I can tell that you have never lived among snobs, sorry about that. Just keep driving your Ford 250 to church and Cracker Barrel.

Few of them. Nothing on the scale of Del Webb Cane Bay in Summerville or Bluffton. Part of buying in any development is the surrounding area in addition to who lives there. We have not ruled out Summerville, but it is not an attractive area except for having a 30 mile access to downtown Charleston.

[quote=OldCavalier;16274114] Summerville does seem to be a lower class area than Mt. Pleasant.quote]

OMGeee - really?

You sound like a damn yankee, trying to tell people down south how much better it is up north and how we do it all wrong around here. Sincerely, Hilton Head is full of misplaced northerners and you would be better off around your own kind, just don't go near Bluffton, Savannah or Beaufort where there are mainly southerners.

Don't get me wrong, I love HHI - lived in Spanish Wells and worked on the island for a bit AH when many of us were jobless, made lots of friends, people are friendly, beach is great, wonderful restaurants, still some great rural areas.

When you are seeking viable information about an area, perhaps, just perhaps, you should come across with a positive attitude and not talk down about the people or the location about which you are inquiring.
