Mr Rubens was the product of juvenile entertainment -- a culture/product that venerates anything eccentric, and is geared toward the lesser-educated and simplistic; those drawn into it often pay a terrible price in terms of their own mental stability, physical health, or both.
But within that distorted, tragi-comic world, he seems to have carried his own burdens with a suprising degree of restraint and dignity --- RIP, Mr. Rubens.

RIP Paul, after the smoke cleared from his incident I was so happy and blown away to see his performance in Blow. He will always be remembered as Pee Wee but Blow was a defining role for him and showed he had the chops to act.
