Charlie has CH so he does have a little bit of difficulty jumping up on certain things, and some of it is just him being a kitten and climbing up my leg to get to my lap and then my desk. My leg is torn all to pieces and I made the mistake of cutting his nails the first night we had him....then he couldn't get on the couch or anything.

He uses those claws to get around, and I didn't realize it, because I didn't know he had CH.

We will be moving our desk a bit, (it goes all the way across the wall of a room and curves at each end, both SO and I have half).

Building him a little ramp to get up on it. I suppose as time goes on, we will see other things that will be useful to him, and maybe Kitty Katty as well.

KK has been getting up on higher surfaces these days, after seeing Charlie do it.... =)

I love the word 'Catify'. That's a good description of what I (and probably many other people) have been doing to their homes for a long time. I have a feeling that Charlie is going to be VERY happy there with you.

Charlie will be very happy with his ramp and other step-ups and climb ups you provide. I give my 22 year old kitty girl steps up so she can get on and off the couch. Have been doing this for three years and I've tried different things. What's working best for her now are the back cushions from an extra couch in a spare room. They're four inches thick and that makes it fairly easy for her to step up and down and they are also wide enough to give her room to get full body down from one step before going to the next step down. If there's not enough room for that, she no longer has the agility to allow for it.

Catifying the home is the loving thing to do!
