^I think the point is that it isn't necessarily reflective of the state's electorate. Nothing wrong with posting here though. And no it doesn't count Buckeye, leaving us when we were most in need (last fall) lol

Ha!

We had Prop 102 in Arizona which was nearly identical to Prop 8. I did what I could to make sure it went the way I wanted it to, but it still passed.

We're now stuck with a dipsh*t for governor who kowtows to the whackjob state legislature. At least Arnold tries (and usually fails) to fight California's legislature every once in a while.

Default Far left

Interesting is the fact that from comments here and heard elsewhere is that Newsom does not have total support from those that consider themselves to be liberals. Many that are center left dislike him and consider him to be a far left radical. Not so well known is that neither the Left nor Right is monolithic, and each has many divisions.

Personally, I can't stand radicals on either end of the political spectrum. Problem is, there's relatively little middle ground on anything in the California state legislature.

Yes, they are wrapped up in ideology instead of pragmatism. That should end once Prop 11 is implemented. Anyone know when the commissioners will re-draw the districts? Hope it doesn't take too long.

My guess would be 5-10 years and you'll see the first redistricting. Assuming they hurry.

Hope you are wrong but I get the impression that Prop 11 will take a while. It would be great if the districts were re-drawn before the 2010 elections.

No he wont. If that one guy who was the governor before runs, hes got my vote. I dont want the rest of the state looking like SF where there are ******s on each and every corner, and quite frankly if Newsome is elected thats what will happpen.

The new districts will take effect in 2012.
