Can you imagine them trying to quarantine millions even in one city? I personally not only can't but they do not have the manpower to do it

Let us all know how your lawsuit turns out

That mortality rate is with a functioning healthcare system, so that cases that require hospitalization are sometimes prevented from slipping into cases that requires being in ICU and those in ICU are sometimes prevented from dying. So far, the medical workers are doing a bang up job, but if you do overwhelm the system, then things might not go so well. That’s part of the thinking behind flatten the curve.

He doesn’t care about anything but doing what he wants.

According to this article, approx 9% of the under 45 age group who have been diagnosed with covid-19, have been hospitalized in NYC. I have not seen any data yet, in this regard for CA.

The middle ground will be feasible if we start testing everyone and requiring those who test positive to self quarantine but until then it make no sense at all unless you like to gamble with your health and maybe even your life.

But I have NO IDEA what you are even talking about when you say we should leave it to individual states, we already are, There is no federal shelter in place law. The Governor of Mississippi's advice is not to close stores or limit the size of gatherings but rather to pray. https://www.usnews.com/news/best-sta...-as-cases-rise
I can read and what he said was: we will make a decision: this did not mean everything would return to normal You are reading and make out of it what will make you happy. I don't care what Liz Cheney has to say. Why in the hell would you throw that in there? Just because she is a conservative does not mean we all agree with her. Many of us are able to make our one choices without basing them down party lines. AS for states leaving decisions up to the states. I know what is happening: in our state even liquor stores are driver though only; in Mo, about 5 miles from here this is not the case. My comment was made as to whether the federal gov. should be involved period.

SF Chronicle report 33 new cases in the Bay Area since yesterday. Although any new cases is not good......it does not seem to me to be that many new cases. Perhaps the shelter in place is having the hoped for effect.

I do get a considerable chuckle out of what ya'll keep on repeating like a Myna bird about Trump like he's got this thing going on with Putin. LOL yeah you should be in the comedy biz. Anything is better than our current late night hosts on TV. They suck beyond belief.
