You're probably right, it just seemed odd

There's a plethora of news sites and stories with conflicting information. But, according a story on the CNN website, the girl in Lancaster may not have died from the virus.

The death of a Los Angeles County resident may be the first juvenile to have died from the novel coronavirus in the United States.
But hours after saying the person died from Covid-19, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued another news release, saying there might now be an "alternate explanation" for the death.
The department characterized the case as "complex" and despite early testing indicating a positive result for Covid-19, further investigation by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention would be required.

I don't know whether it's true or not so I will wait for them to conclude their investigation. With close to 40 million people living in this state, I'm going to remain positive that the majority of us will get out of this without coming down with it. Sorry, I'm just one of those glass half full kind of people.

I'm never able to read any of the articles from the LA Times. I don't subscribe so all I get is a big sign on the page telling me if I want to read it, I have to subscribe and most likely pay a fee. I'll pass
I was invincible in my youth as well. Proof is I’m here today to tell it.

With 40 million peope in CA and a very conservative fatality rate of even 1.0% - imagine the toll that many deaths will take on society and the economy.....
