I'm loading up for the journey. Umm, that sounds bad. Don't smoke and drive people. Just smoke and munchie or fall asleep if you are that type.

I think we're done with this thread hopefully.

But I will just close with as conservative a message as I can to explain to those conservatives out there why I think this law is a valid exercise:

Live and let Live.

When your living encroaches on my side of the line and I'ma dying or harmed in some fashion beyond a bit of annoyance I will object. And use any available remedy to stop you. That includes lawsuits and actual law enforcement when necessary. That's as conservative as I can get without putting on the white wig and passing the bar and joining the Federalist Society.

I think I have a reasonable line drawn as to when second hand smoke harms people. And I don't care if you smoke yourself to death, just don't take me or anyone with ya.

These are the predicaments for those slaving in massive buildings. SFH's are the way to go.

My old hairless dog pup pup doesn't make much of a dog of war, unfortunately.

As a occasional (outside) smoker, i think i would rather agree with this type of "law" than to have my dwelling fill with the smell of smoke from another occupant or some chain smoker under my window.

However, i would prefer that the law should specify that the owners can seperate the apartment (especially if share ventilation/walls) based on smoking preferances as they did in restaurants in the 80s and also in hotels now. Also no smoking 30 feet from entrances/windows. I think people's happiness in their dwelling trumps the rights of smokers, loud music/tv folks, dog barking folks,...etc

Smile Low incomes want smoke free

I am low income and want a smoke free environment. Just one smoker and it comes up threw my window and I cannot keep my windows closed in the summer! It makes me sick (literally) and I am powerless to stop the habits of others that hurt me. This law would protect me from injury. I would be so grateful for it!
