Well, even with the cap, people will still may have to consider other options to get around that portion of the 33, if the construction takes as long as they say it does.
To be honest, I think a lot of these projects are finalized in advance. So, more or less, the cap is coming. It may be a matter of how to navigate around it while it is being constructed.
Should be interesting to see the construction schedule. With that much traffic, they most likely will have to do a lot of the construction, especially setting beams in place, at night. For 5 years? Haven't heard any discussion on this

If you check out the show I posted above, it are still some questions that need to be answered about the project in multiple aspects. So, it will be interesting to see if those things get ironed out efficiently and in time to get the ball rolling.

I did watch it, although you should indicate certain minutes of importance, so people don't have to watch it all. There wasn't much new info. I did learn that the host, the bishop, is racist ("I look at everything as black vs. white"). Also, at the end, when he reintroduced the panelist's, he didn't show their faces. The only one I knew there was Ms. Walton.

I think it is important to view the whole thing. That way you can get an idea of what people in the community impacted thinks and says about the slated project.
Also, I think he is referring to how there is a component where people from outside of the community have different ideas that don't benefit the community that is directly impacted.
Did you watch the video above? I ask because a question about an environment study not being done was asked and answered(around 50 minutes in). So, the information is there and may come into in regards to the lawsuit.

You have a lot more free time than I do. Its not that the residents don't have valid issues, its the NYSDOT throwing up their hands and saying the heck with it. The environmental study could take a year and depending on the results, the entire project may go by the boards. The billion dollar grant has an expiration date.

Stick to what you know...Again, did you watch or listen to the video? I'm asking because it has a lot of good information about the project, including the DOT representative encouraging input from the community.
