I knew I didn't like him, but I never expected to read this when I logged onto CNNSI.com today....

He's a phony. CNNSI has a great photo comparison of him from 1993 to current. Look at him between 2000 and 2003. Its obvious. But he's not the only one. They say the list has 104 players on it. Your favorite player might be on there too.....

That says it as well as anything.

I'm not surprised by the news about Rodriguez and I doubt there are many names on that list that would surprise me. It's sad what baseball has evolved into. Other sports as well, but baseball is the worst considering what it was in the past.

Maybe the best way to put an end to steroid use is to permanently ban ANY athlete who tests positive for them. And this probably needs to start on a HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL if they want to keep Pro sports clean.

When you have more than half the players using steroids, it really encourages other players to resort to using them also just to keep competitive in their chosen sport.

I was hoping that A-Roid would be the one to break Bonds lifetime home run record to return legitimacy back to the record. That can't happen now. Whether he breaks it or not, the record will remain tainted.

I sure hope Ryan Howard is clean. Maybe he's one we can count on some day to make that a real baseball record again.

If theres anyone to blame it should be MLB. Teams love to have players who perform exceptionally well and who can break records. Why? Money. Baseballs popularity and bringing in fans to fill the seats is the main objective. It seems to me that they didnt aggressively enforce steroids use and turned the other cheek for these reasons. Thus thats the reason why the Feds got involved, because it became apparent that there was this steroid culture in the game and it trickled down to younger players such as those in high school. When you hear names like Roger Clemans, Barry Bonds, Mark Mcqwire, which are arguably in the top 10 best players of all time, its very sad that the game has come to this. I'm glad that the Feds got involved to clean up baseball.
