I'd buy a NAFTA-mobile HHR. I'm not saying that I'd like it, but the discounts are so high on a HHR I can forgive its nation of manufacture. I've never heard great things about build quality or durability, but that has nothing to do with it being Mexican. The Cobalt on which it was based was built in the plant which built the Vega and it kinda showed, although it was a lot nicer than the Cavalier.
I saw a HHR in traffic once with a bumper sticker: "Out of a job yet? Keep buying foreign." A car made in Mexico is not American in my book, even with a gaudy gold Chevrolet bowtie on it.
Actaully pats of many cars are made in mexico that are assmebled i US. I really don;t;t care other than wanting the best I can find really. That often isn't american made now days.
are you telling me someone put a false label on the door of the Vibe i was sitting in? i even live in california.
YES,. Someone had a Made in China label on something they bought and stuck it on the dash. Think about it.. you will NEVER see a Made in China (mexico, etc.) sticker on ANY new car.
The Vibe was built at the NUMMI plant in Fremont (East Bay), CA.
Google it.
