I completely disagree. The Altimas (2007+) have a classy feel to it, especially with basic mods like tinting your windows. I know that my '08 Altima, white with tints gets a LOT of compliments from random people when I'm out and about. But, I guess to each his own.
No offense, and they may have terrific performance and value, but I have to agree, an Altima (any Altima), is just a generic-looking car, especially the older ones (like 2003). It may even be perfectly serviceable and well-maintained, but it's still always gonna have that middle-of-the-road, "insurance salesman" vibe about it. Although, agreed, it's so bland that it helped the OP "dodge a bullet"... so maybe it does have some "special" uses!
You never offended me. I would never consider one. Performance is more important to me than looks. As long as it doesn't make me throw up when I see it in the driveway then I'm ok. However, you fail to realize that I was specifically talking about the SE-R (2005-06). It definitely doesn't look bland to me. I don't care about the others.
I'll admit that I'm a car guy but if a girl does or does not go out or associate with me because of what I drive, she's not my type.
I know a girl like that. She said that she wouldn't go out with this guy because he drove a hand me down mini van from his mom. She ended up going out with him, not because he's a winner because he isn't but because he ended up being someone with self esteem lower than hers that she could control.

I used to really want one of those big V8 Holden RWD cars. I got a Subaru Liberty because it was practical but after 5 years of service it conked out. My next car might be a hybrid, if they improve by then, or at least a turbo-diesel.

So what if it's "generic-looking"? What is so bad about it?
Any time I read a thread like this where women contribute I remember how happy I am with my girlfriend and that I am done with the dating scene. In this thread I learned if I pick a date up in my 911 Turbo it will be too old for some people and for others it shows I am materialistic, flashy, and not a nerd. On the contrary I have the car not to impress anyone but myself with what an amazing machine it is.
I would have said "oh God, so your a materialistic *****, I can't be seen with you, do you have a friend or sister you could set me up on a date with that is a little better?"
And this one, hell, its a 1961 Ferrari, makes it 52 yrs old. And only worth $10.9 million.
Pure car porn, that picture is.
