That essentially eliminates the domestic automakers, since a substantial percentage of their cars are sold at deep discounts to rental car companies, which demolishes their resale value, as numrous articles in all of the car magazines, as well as Money, Kiplingers, the WSJ & numerous other media outlets have written about for 20+ years.

That's yet another reason why Hondas & Toyotas also have great resale value.

If resale value doesn't mean anything to you, and you're the type of person who'll 'buy a car and drive it until it dies', then buy whatever you like, and enjoy it.
