The Escalade is slated for a full restyle in 2014 I think. The GM motor is potent, the Ford powerplant needs some HP for sure. The Ford has a much nicer interior, electric folding 3rd row seats for example are surely better than the GM 3rd row that has to be manually folded and removed for the extra cargo space to be used. Problem with any of these Luxury SUV's is they are 60-70K new but 50% off just a couple years later and most folks burn $500 a month in fuel! Depreciation + Fuel is a serious number especially in the first 24 +/- months.
But I will add what I've been thinking lately....a $50k Suburban LTZ and a $60K Yukon Denali don't have the option for HID headlights or push button start. The Escalade gets these however. I hope the next generation have more options for a $50k+ car.

The Suburban and Yukon also can't be had with the one-touch up windows like the Escalade.
