Served with gravy made from the pan drippings...that's the southern way of cooking fried chicken. It may be something best made at home.

This is most certainly true!

I agree with the Top Notch supporters. You can find some damn good fried chicken there.

As for those people suggesting chicken fried steak... It's like someone set out to make a dish with the highest number of calories and the least amount of taste possible. Just my opinion.

Yes, it's true. It's right next to a liquor store after all! It's not shady like a Brooklyn Popeye's but like I said it's always a negotiation when I go in there.

"We don't have any biscuits, would you like to wait 10 minutes?"

No.

"How about I give you 2 drumsticks instead of the biscuit?"

Or, "we don't have original recipe, only spicy" "How about I give you 2 extra chicken strips with your order if you get spicy?"

Ok, whatever! LOL, you get the idea. Also, one time I went to fill my fountain drink and the lever pushed all the way back and got soda all over my hand. That was annoying having sticky soda hands all the way home. I don't go there much but it's always something...good chicken though!

It doesn't sound so much like a negotiation as it does a "Raiders of the Lost Ark" type adventure At least you get a litany of funny stories to tell after you've gone

I just read in another thread about a place that serves "Chicken Fried Bacon w/a side of cream gravy!"
