Belterra to Southwest Parkway would be 15 - 20 minutes. I live in Sunset Canyon, just to the west of Belterra and work on Southwest Parkway. If he takes 290 into town he will get slowed down at the Y. There are better ways to get over to Southwest Parkway.

I live in Highpointe, I have been here for 3years(maybe a little longer). I really like it but taxes are high here and something a lot of people don't budget for is water- LCRA water is expensive and there is an additional waste water bill that can cost from $50-200 depending on how much water you use.

The people here are friendly and you'll find everything from young couples with no kids(that's me) to retired couples to families with one to five children.

It takes about 20-30 mins to get most places, sometimes it seems like longer if I'm hungry but in general it's really not a big deal. It is just something you grow accustomed to.

As far as it being dry, it's cyclical. It seems like we are going to have a wet winter this year, I bet our spring is going to be lush.

Feel free to DM me if you have more questions.
