Wow, what a cool thread! I can't wait to go to the Inman Park Festival next time and visit the Little Five Points area to people watch. Thanks for the visual tour.

The scary, bum filled, yet empty streets of Downtown Atlanta.

The lunch time crowd on Broad Street in Fairlie-Poplar

I know the covered bridge is at Stone Mountain, but I too would love to know where those homes are - gorgeous!

Thanks for sharing your trip pix, Desert Sun!

I'm pretty sure those homes as in Glenwood Park. It's an awesome mixed use neighborhood at Glenwood and Bill Kennedy Way.

^Yep, am very familiar with it. Great new urbanist neighborhood. Those do look like they belong there - thanks!

FWIW - The same design firm also did the Seven neighborhood in Downtown Norcross.

^Where is that?

Also, I did know that Seven was part of the same. I really liked the neighborhood, there were some aspects that I wasn't crazy about though. In both neighborhoods you have no backyard. I don't really want to mow the back forty, but I wouldn't mind about 400 square feet to throw a party in or something. Just kinda irks me. But the houses themselves are astounding.

I'm not sure what's going to happen to Seven. I know the unsold homes and condos went into foreclosure, and the neighborhood is only about 1/3 complete. I really hope that someone can come in and finish it up to the standards that were already there.

The pic is of Westside Urban Market.

Didn't know about the back yards, but I agree.

I saw in todays AJC that the same developers are quietly buying up land along the river on the Cobb County side in an industrial area.

I hope that GreenStreet is wildly successful here, as I love their whole design aesthetic.
