Since it's everyone's dream to be able to move to California do YOU have interest in moving to CA? If not, why? Would you move if you did not have any commitments (family, home etc.)?

What a weird question...Some people just don't want to move to Cali. Some people don't want to move to ATL. That's why we have free will.

If once my kids have grown and somehow I end up with infinite monies, I may move to Napa, buy 100 acres and grow grapes.

because that is what the people here in California say so I am putting this here trying to get a different perspective on things.

I am trying to see if there is anyone here who actually prefers living in ATL rather than CA and for non-personal reasons (family, job etc.). If anyone would not leave ATL even if they had the chance to move to CA.

there is also a song "California dreamin..." lol, by Mamas and Papas

I am in an industry that is very much heavily concentrated in California (L.A.) and yet I still continue to look for work in Atlanta instead of L.A. My main reasons are that the jobs pay almost exactly the same thing, but the COL in Cali is twice what it is in Atl. Also, the climate is way better in Atlanta. (Of course, I've been in Florida for ten years now and I can't wait to get out, so I probably would take a job in L.A. if I needed to. Just to get out.)
