I would sure like to see Gov. Romney weigh in on this.

The man who's cut $445 million for Big Bird is bound to reject the idea of spending $1.2 billion on a new stadium for a football team.

In Minnesota, the Vikings owner was saying the same thing, build me a stadium or I'm taking the vikes to LA.
All the examples I've heard has the owner threatening to move to LA. They can't all move to LA, can they? It sounds like a hollow threat when you've heard it used in another state.
But for now, that option is open.

And it's a believable possibility. A team left Baltimore for Indianapolis, a team left Houston for Nashville, a team left St Louis for Phoenix, a team left LA for St Louis.

A team left Cleveland for Baltimore, A team left Oakland for LA & then left LA for Oakland....I doubt the birds will fly the coop.

Again, the vast majority of that money is private money from the NFL or Arthur Blank. I am sure Romney wouldn't be in favor of publicly funding an entire stadium.

The critical factor with this stadium is how it will relate to the street and the surrounding community. There are plenty of architects who design a cool looking oval in the midst of gargantuan parking lots, but that is the one thing we need to avoid here.

I would not want to see another one of these in downtown Atlanta.

Or Cowboys Stadium. The new stadium needs to fit into the street grid and surrounding neighborhoods.
