What do you mean if? Transit is coming to the BeltLine, it is part of the project and will happen.

Exactly! You can ride between Inman Park and Glenwood Park stations, once all is said and done.

I could eliminate some stops that would receive minimal traffic. It wouldn't help much, but it's better than nothing. I could eliminate a line or two as well.

This was my answer to "MARTA doesn't go anywhere," sometimes even taking the last mile problem into consideration.

Perhaps, but I wasn't kidding about the order of magnitude of the costs. That is The reason why commuter rail has been proposed for most of the long-term, OTP transit expansion. Not to take anything away from your map, but you and I both know that even by the year 2100, the heavy rail map will not be anywhere nearly that expansive.

I suppose that is true. It took that long for systems like MTA, the Paris Metro, and the London Underground to stretch their many arms out that wide. Why bother waiting for it to take shape? We won't be alive by then. Besides, major destinations in the area will most likely change over the course of a century. My map will probably be outdated. But hey, I can at least look ahead, right?

Or BRT can be built in phases, to eventually be converted to HRT to meet demand.

The problem there is that the conversion from BRT to HRT is just as expensive, or, depending on the right of way improvements, more expensive than just building HRT.

Not to say it isn't going to be a needed upgrade, but it makes more sense to me to go the BRT to LRT route.

Use frequent limited-stop bus service along the corridor now to build ridership as the HRT is being built.

Here's a preview of the new never-gonna-happen map. Any constructive suggestions / criticisms welcome.

I think you accidentally posted a working copy of this map. For instance, there are literally no new stations on the top-end Perimeter.
