It'll take more than God. And right now I don't think anyone of the front runners are worth a hoot.
Ron Paul has good ideas, but he doesn't look or act presidential. He may be on the tad bit old side for many people.

All we are asking is that they put down the crack pipe and get a first job, that would be most helpful to them.

Expecting a crack-head to "put down the pipe and get a job" is what many people would call, a "pipe dream."

I think if we had a chance of actually closing the border, we could put a curb on the drugs making their way into our inner cities.

I expect AZ to go blue state, and soon. It's all about demographics. The hispanic population is growing fast, and they vote disproportionately Democrat; not quite to the extent that blacks do, which is practically an iron law, but hugely in favor of Democrats nonetheless.

Yes, there's a huge difference between Social Security and Welfare. People pay into Social Security their entire working lives. In essence, they paid with their own sweat for what they receive as seniors. They earned their Social Security. Welfare is not based on having earned anything. Welfare is a pure giveaway (well intentioned though it is). Not comparable at all.

>>Why do people keep voting republican when it does them no good?<<

If your concern is about other people living off your taxes (as your comments about SS and Welfare indicate), and you are trying to equate that with Republican policies, I can't even begin to tell you how far off base you are about who advocates higher taxes and income redistribution.
