We have had monsoon thunedrstorms almost every day, sometimes up to 3 inches of rain at a time. My yard can't take much more water.

As I write it starts raining again

Well aren't you lucky to live in a much wetter and milder enviroment of AZ. It was cloudy the whole day again up in Phoenix hit 85 degrees at about 2 pm. I thought the rain would hit the east valley, but the west valley got it. Now there's billowing thunderheads in just about every direction except west.

Yuma got its first monsoon rain Thursday night, we had quite a storm. Parts of town are still without power, possibly until Monday. NWS says we got 2 inches of rain, which is a lot for here. Friday afternoon it clouded up and got windy, but no rain in the immediate area.

Wow, the last couple of days have been awesome! I don't know if they had anything to do with the monsoon or just a storm rolling in but I loved it.

It is/was very nice outside this morning. I've had enough of monsoon humidity. I can hardly wait for monsoon to end and the nights in the 60s to return.

Default Good Storm!!

Sometime early this morning...I didn't look at the clock!...we had a huge storm pass through. LOTS of thunder and lightning and heavy rain. I DID jump out of bed to partially close some windows! And then the storm put me right back to sleep. All day yesterday I watched the dark cloud buildup coming from the south but figured it would just go around us, as usual, so I was happily surprised to be woken up by all the 'clatter'. Haven't checked the weather predictions for today yet....but there are plenty of clouds hanging around.

Man I think you got the storm that was heading for us. I was watching a lightning storm last night to the north of Gilbert where I was. But I love being woken up by a loud clap of thunder. I dispise my alarm clock and if it's near me when it goes off I've trained myself to turn it off while I'm still asleep. But thunder on the other hand, is just the greatest wake up call you can get.
Anyways tall and dark storm clouds coming into the east valley. Wind is light, dew point is at 68, and temps are just breaking 95. This better be a good one.

Heavy but short cloud burst hits here in Mesa. Long enough to get everything soaked but not enough to cause amazement. Not like Tuesday.

Now it's a torrental relentless downpour here in East Mesa. I don't know how long it'll last but in 3 minutes there's already puddles inch deep.
