As far as the Sunport goes, let's just focus on finishing up all the road-work mess. More flights will come as they're necessary...

THe road work is expected to be done in 2 weeks I think, not that bad. I though of this:

ABQ-BOS (SWA, DELTA or American)

I think that'd be good too. If southwest does it, which would probably be the first, would be great.

I'd JUMP on that plane. But SW's 737's don't have the range (except for their -700's, which seat a lot more).

Neither Delta nor American strikes me as likely to fly nonstop to BOS, since neither has a hub there. Interestingly enough, the only airline to have Logan as their hub is JetBlue, which would be very welcome to start service to ABQ.

*facepalm* I forgot about JetBlue! :P Anyways, are you sure about the range? ABQ already has non stop to Baltimore...

Actually Zoidberg, the 737-300s (733) and 737-700 (73G) seat the exact same amount of passengers, 137 people. The 73G was the exact replacement for the 733. Southwest has 346 of these birds, which is about 65 percent of their fleet. While their may not be the demand for the flight, equipment would be no issue.

None the less, if they were ever to start the service, you bet your ***** I would be on the flight monthly. So here is to wishful thinking!

I'd use it too.

I'm sure JetBlue is smart enough to gather all sufficient data before establishing new routes and entering new markets.

Somehow, I suspect that City-Data forums are NOT part of that research.

Except that there's no new service on UA. It's just changing the way CO used to serve the IAH market ( and not just from ABQ ) as a result of its merger with CO. Since both UA and CO serve ABQ ( and NW and DL did as well ) you can say that the city actually lost one airline and will be losing another once the CO/UA merger results in one operating airline.

FYI...WN=Southwest, UA=United, CO=Continental, B6=JetBlue
