Occasional summer rains, to keep the forests moist.

My first response to this was negative but you are right. A bit more rain in the summer could be beneficial. Is there anyway we can trade that off with less winter rain? Oh, right, that won’t happen!

Amazingly, there used to be summer rains; brief cloudbursts from passing clouds as the sun shone through the rain. And occasionally, summers that seemed more like the winters, with frequent rainy days. The climate has changed a lot in that respect. Now, not only are summers usually dry, "summer" has spread into late spring and early fall, causing extended dry periods.

And they now expect, that that will cause heavier rains in the winter, as the dry season (along with warmer temps) will cause more evaporation into the atmosphere, which will come down as rain. So, you're right; even-ing out the rain, spreading it out more equitably between summer & winter isn't gonna happen.

The more you lower the cost of living, the faster the population will grow. The more crowded it gets, the more quality of life will diminish.

I would like more of the snow like we have this morning, just under an inch, but temperature barely freezing so that it's beautiful to see but no problem to drive in.

He means lower it for himself and not others.

Bring back logging and grazing the forests.
Bring back logging? Never realized it was banned? I still see plenty of clear cut tree plantations, maybe it’s not as prolific as it was at some earlier time, but logging still definitely exists.

Bobs Burgers and Brew - Probably a drive north for some as the southern-most one I'm aware of is in Marysville. Haven't been impressed with Dicks, In-n-out, Etc.
Last time I pulled up for curbside it was fresh hot and still wonderful, but really waiting for this Covid-19 crap to be over so we can actually go in places and eat again.

We always stopped there on the way home from a day in B.C., I once tried the burger with the hot dog rolled up on top. Everett Mall is closer, and to the south there is one in Puyallup.
