There was a policy or rather a movement to remove older white police officers about 2 years ago when this woke movement was steam rolling.
It was broadcasted for a while in the media during that time before it lost its wind.
It was based on people thinking the older white officers were more racists than the younger white officers.

Yes I was pretty heated about it.
I don’t much care for racism which ever way it goes.
I sometimes do say “eff you” to people that are not acting nice like racists, tyrants or rude people.

I am not an angry hater.
I do have a rather low threshold for garbage and probably could word that better.
Thanks.

Three of the incumbents were replaced in the 2020 election due to strong communication among the residents. It's too bad that people don't pay more attention until things get so bad that they have to start a movement to get change done.

This overblown BS was prompted by the left and CNN, which is as far left as you can get.

Sequim is a better place for residents with the milder growth (about 5K in 2000 to about 8K in 2021) happening in our town all allowed by former city politicians.

And small business are thriving and increasing in spite of the big box stores.
You will find very few Sequim residents complaining about the convenience of Walmart, Costco or Home Depot etc. and not having to drive 50 miles to do their shopping.
Now with the present city government that are allowing the Jamestown tribe to buy several buildings and other properties in downtown using their Casino gambling money to take control of our small town. Not to mention a tribal drug rehabilitation clinic that people in Sequim and surrounding areas revolted over and were called racist for being against it.

Sequim is fine. Yes it attracts retirees. But there is business to be performed there. I don’t see many negatives to the area.

The majority of Sequim citizens seem to disagree with your take on things.

It wasn’t so much that a given ideology triumphed—Iraq War veteran and county jail control-room technician Brandon Janisse’s conservative leanings are, for example, a far cry from the liberal politics of the tattooed, partly head-shaved Rachel Anderson or the longtime tribal health administrator Vicki Lowe—as it was that people’s better angels burst to the surface. The electorate in Sequim finally put the kibosh on Armacost and the Trumpian, QAnonist threat to civic well-being that he and his colleagues embodied.

Four of the SGGL candidates are left-leaning. I’m right-leaning,” Janisse says. “But they endorsed me because of how I think government should be run at the local level. We’re worried about ‘Are the roads paved? Are the alleys good? Do you have sidewalks? Are the sewers not spraying leaks everywhere?’”

Do you live within the Sequim city limits? An honest question.

Yes the majority of people probably voted for Biden also....but I image that the majority of those same people are now having buyer remorse.
Sequim city council.....we in the city will have to wait and see if they can govern without political bias and take care of the pot holes.

Right. These forums would be dead if we were only allowed to post in forums where we lived.
