The poster was saying that everywhere in between Philly and Pittsburgh was hillbilly heaven.

But, if 'so many pigeons in the streets, homeless people beating each other up, police on horseback, CRAZY taxi drivers' is progressive, I want nothing of it. But then again, I'm not a city person.

Shen!

I was surprised at your earlier post. You're usually SO sweet. You posted all this great info, but for some reason chose to preface it with the remark about progressives. Just a bad day maybe?

I used to know a guy whose family was Greek and they ran a restaurant. I ate more free baklava than a man deserves too in one lifetime.

As for barbeque . . . in addition to the barbeque restaurants, if there's a church or Masonic Lodge anywhere around having a barbeque dinner . . . go.

The big secret of barbeque is it's got to be slow cooked over a wood fire (hickory or not), preferable the whole hog.

Yeah, but nothing by us here in S. FL! I think that is kinda strange considering the large cities, but hey, it is just a special treat now. Personally, I am looking forward to getting up there and trying some of the local restaurants!

I think a lot of the changes there were for the worse, but those magical biscuits are still heavenly. Hit their gift shop next door and have some goodies shipped home, or to others for great gifts!
