I noticed the same thing, do we know anyone in zoning or planning who may have some idea because the area that they are clearing is huge.
Per my research on the tax records, it was bought on 01/29/2021 by the Ralph B Pond Jr. Family for 1.5 million dollars. I have no other information though.
Have airlines returned to FLO yet? I think a saw where American is in service there again...which is good.

There is an article from January 21 that states that flights have resumed. That article states that they are doing only 1 arrival, and 1 departure daily to Charlotte for now. Pre Covid I think it was 3 daily

Back when I lived in Florence in the 90s there were two airlines Delta and US Airways and they must have had a dozen flights or so in total that flew in there.. This was before MYR lost its AFB status. Once that happened MYR smoked FLO for obvious reasons.. I used to work part time as a driver for Budget Rent a Car at FLO.. we used to drive down to Columbia and move cars back to FLO during the summers because so many people were flying in there and renting cars to drive down to Myrtle Beach.. I am sure that has all but stopped happening...MYR offers way more options for the average traveler though it is a drive from Florence. I wish an airline like Southern Airways would serve Florence though I am not sure where they would connect... ATL would be the only real logical place.. but I am sure Delta got out of FLO for a reason.
Does anyone what was up with all the traffic yesterday on Hwy 327? That exit is getting busier and busier and when Buccees open up no telling what the traffic count will look like.
