What's New/Closing/Coming to Florence (Williston, Pamplico: college, subdivisions, shopping center)

I preferred Hardee's to other fast food places but the problem now is there are not any near me. For a burger I go to 5 guys.

Happy New Year! Finally the Grocery store Downtown is being built, that area is a food desert. Glad to see the progress.

A few other updates

Work is moving along on Buc-Ees - rode by today to take a look

The Popeyes on Evans is now open

The old car wash by the skating rink by Sam’s Club has been torn down

Something is coming where the Lifeway Christian Store was, I saw a sign but could not make out what it was.

Being told that there is a sign on the Scholtski’s that just closed stating “Opening Soon” - did not go by to verify or see this.

Cookout on 52 to be in front of Hampton Inn by the new Starbucks should be starting soon

Nice new apartments on Irby between Cherokee and the Library

Yeah.. that should be a great addition to downtown.. I know the developer featured in the article has been working on this for 20years or so and still had to receive subsidy from the City and grants... I hope that it can do well since grocery stores are closing/merging all across the Country.. The building on the opposite corner seems like a neat building to save and rehab for a new business.. maybe that will happen as well with the success of the grocery store...
