If I am not mistaken, yes, to be moved to the location on Palmetto Street by the Outdoor Store.
Yeah.. I found an article on it.. They wanted to have more outdoor activities for families....So good for them.. I am sure their old location will find new tenant.
JCPENNY at the Magnolia Mall is listed to close at the Magnolia Mall due to the company filing for bankruptcy.
The store opened at the mall in 1987.
The article can be found on SCNOW, and there is no mention of a closing date.
I have been in magnolia mall in awhile ...it seems to be doing pretty well so hopefully they will find another anchor or subdivide the space to create another wing....I think that is partly what they did when Roses closed years ago

Correct,
When Roses closed years ago, that made way for the Food Court and Best Buy. I think it'd be great to do as you suggested and somehow turn that into a new wing since expansion will not be easily done to the front of the mall facing David McLeod Blvd. I think the best option is to, instead of a big anchor, include some new to the market small stores and maybe a Junior Anchor similar to how they did Home Goods.
Buc-Ees is awesome, y'all will love it. I know, I know, we're talking about a convenience store chain...but it really does live up to the hype.
Any update on Buc-ee's in Florence? From what I have heard in the late, it has been cancelled.
Buc-ee's is also coming soon to Anderson, SC. However, Buc-ee's themselves bought the land that they are locating on in Anderson. That is in contrast with the Florence site which I am pretty sure is owned by some other party who were/are working with Buc-ee's to develop a location there.

According to their careers website, they still list Florence SC as a location with jobs available.
I was told it was delayed, not cancelled, but not sure myself..
