Is their any chance of CD Religion adding a Jehovah's Witness discussion sub forum?
I am interested to learn more about this religion..
Thanks!
Which are you most interested in learning about the religion or hearing personal experiences? You will probably receive more of the latter. Also, the overarching theme of the Christianity forum is a form of Universal Christianity. Good Luck!
Just for fun, on occasion, I run a quiz on the BELIEF O MATIC . Now again, more for fun, and the link takes you to the survey, which is free.
After a series of questions, including how much importance one places on the answer to each question (such as homosexuality is sinful, I disagree and do not care, to Reverence of nature must be primary, to which I agree and strongly care) the belief o Matic will calculate the answers and give a long list of which religions offer the most imilarities to one's stated beliefs.
Each time, without Exception, the Jehovah's Witness are dead last. Meaning that I hold a whopping 1% in common with JW's beliefs.
What Jehovah's Witness believe ACcording to the beliefnet survey.
That being said, my oldest son talked to some at the airport recently, said they were generally nice people. Of course long ago, the deal killer for me would have been that the JW's do not celebrate CHristmas , a situation that got the Church of Christ banned from my world, as well as birthdays and other holidays. (They never w=even walk down our street in October for some reason, I think my house scares them.)
That being said, there is a lot of information on the internet, but I have always said that the best person to ask about their faith IS A practitioner of that faith. If I wanteed to know what catholics believe about something, I would ask a catholic leader. If you want to know what JW's believe, check first with the online websites which they maintain JW.ORG andgo from there.

Truth. But so hard to handle for some.
There are those, who hate religion, hate believers, hate, who will dig up anonymous sources and tell practitioners what their religion is all about, and berate them for not knowing as much as they do. Barrel of clowns, such fun.
Since Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians, the Christianity forum would be the place for such threads.
There are a few JWs that post here, so you may find answers. I have no idea how well they know the theology.
Since you are speaking as a general user here versus a mod, I'll ask. Are you a JW? Are you a Christian? How can you make that judgment, if you're not a part of the religion?
