If you just accept that threads around here take some weird twists you'll be fine. It has happened to me as well. The threads here don't have ownership from the OP.

It doesn't bother me.

[i][color="Navy"]Two forces have been working side by side in parallel lines. The one says "I", the other says "not I". Their manifestation is not only in man but in animals, not only in animals but in the smallest worms. The tigress that plunges her fangs into the warm blood of a human being would give up her own life to protect her young.
That is fatally flawed.

The tigress is unthinking; unreasoning; it acts out only out of instinct.

Animals do not act out of hate, fear, greed, envy, jealousy, or anger. Only humans do that.

I'm not sure that we know that. I have had parrots who were clearly jealous of each other for my attention, and who have, on occasion, gotten incredibly angry.

It's more base than that as in desire and aversion. Selfishness and selflessness. Me and Not Me. We might dress up aversion as hate, fear and anger and desire as envy and jealousy. Does an animal have similar internal expressions of desire and aversion? It's like "What Is It Like To Be A Bat?" by Thomas Nagel and that is only a bat knows.

Mr Yap reasons (makes plans), hates some dogs, and is feared by others.

The Toots loves everyone. He does eat meat but doesn't kill himself so I guess it doesn't count.
