Meaning besides a heavenly hope for some, there is an earthly resurrection hope of living forever on Earth.

Hell is an abomination to the sensibilities of most reasonable people.
Annihilation makes a lot more sense for sure, but there’s no point in arguing with God if we are condemned, as there’s obviously no recourse or right of appeal!
Paradise Earth is an interesting concept, but how the hell do all the billions of people that have ever lived continue to coexist in such a place?
Is there also unlimited space?
