Have any of you actually sat down and put in writing your creed (definition -- "a brief authoritative formula of religious belief")?

Great question.
No, I have not come up with my own creed.
But it's a good idea. Maybe I will.

In the meantime, I profess the Nicene Creed.

I think most people rely on creeds that have already been formulated. I just hope they think about what they are saying when they 'profess' it in church.

Years ago, I did compose a Atheists Creed:

"I believe in no Lord, no Almighty, no Creator of the cosmos or Earth.
I believe in the Big Bang and our apeness, ultra-advanced.
I will religiously devote unending hours of my precious life and my mental energies mocking, insulting, bashing, and criticizing anyone who differs in their view of this.
I will detest all of the vast majority who endorse and embrace any God concept, and anything remotely related.
I pledge to defend you against Evil Belief, oh Great & Exalted NOGODAH.
You are the essence of my being and the reason I live for, and we give you thanks and praise Exalted Sovereign NOGODAH!"
SOBEIT!

I wish most of we theists were able to try not to take ourselves so seriously.

Who knows, if we had the sufficient humility to laugh at ourselves, there may be more of us.

We should learn a lesson from some of you atheists

I'm Theist...Basic Pantheism...but I was Atheist up until 12 years ago.
I figured the Atheists needed a Creed...and based upon their offerings to this Forum, I created that for them.

It's in the blog section.

Keep in mind...it's mine, I'm not asking anyone else to approve or accept my beliefs.

what is the purpose of posting your "creed" then on a public forum?
