Why are those the only two options?

That video of the Satanic prayer before the house was pretty awesome.

He did a fabulous job. Every time the protesters spoke and he lowered his head I kept waiting for the robe to start shaking. Not even a beep. That man is very spiritually blessed by the dark lord, no?

Hypocrisy and deception is obvious.
If they aren't about Satan, why call it a Satanic club?
Are they so lacking that they cannot come up with a more appropriate name?

“Satan” is just a “metaphorical construct” intended to represent the rejection of all forms of tyranny over the human mind.

So, they say they are against tyranny over the human mind, yet they borrow a term that is steeped in tradition of tyranny over the human mind.
Satan is a word that is based on group-thought/herd mentality.

Moreover, a "Satanic club" will attract people who truly believe in Satan and engage in various sick things like animal sacrifice etc. (We had some Satanic neighbors.)
Satan, like a lot of terms, is a symbolic word that represents resonating from within - good or bad. But some think of it as more - some people think of Satan as a God, and as a herd, follow Satanic leaders.

BTW - I can't help but wonder if the Pope praising Lucifer as "light bringer" had something to do with this.
Either way, it's ignorant.

I think if you continue to wear the triple-layered aluminum foil hat and stay under your bed, you'll remain immune to Satan's blandishments.

Whatever floats their boat. I don't think they'll need a very big room.

I really don't know - you'll have to ask them what it's all about. I got all sorts of messages from a sort of Pantheistic nature -worship to a totally FSM -type spoof religion to use as a counter to Christian gambits to push across the Church -state line.

What I do get is that the automatic leap to the blood sacrifice and ritual orgy beloved of Cinema is not what it is. If so, all atheism has to do with it is cheer them on in not being either Christian or for that matter Muslim which ain't a lot better, and helping to maintain separation between church and state.

I understand that they may be using the term "Satanic" to try to make a point, but again, it's hypocritical (group thought that they say they're trying to avoid) and it's deceptive (they'll end up getting TRUE Satanic followers/leaders).

Well, the joke is on them, then.. That "always the same forever" God of yours likes himself the smell of a burnt offering.
