Yeah, isn't that a relief!

Anton LeVey was one eccentric guy and that particular doctrine hasn't aged well. Although I suspect he was being facetious. Or at least I hope he was.

Yeah, every religion needs at least one joke-tenet.

If he was serious, that is an amusingly ridiculous belief.

You shouldn't waste your energy attacking a straw man. Note that neither of these organizations believe in, much less worship, Satan.
I have to say, The Satanic Temple sounds rather cool.

I have to admire their protest actions. Whenever some jurisdiction (usually down South) allows a religious statue on public property, the Satanic Temple can be counted on to propose, on an equal-time justification, a statue of Baphomet in the same location. One time I am aware of they even specified that it should be placed facing a statue of Moses, as close to it as possible.

It will get the religious statue removed from the county courthouse every time.

The Satan Clubs work the same way; although they have course materials and everything, I'm not aware that one of those clubs has ever been opened, as it's just easier for the Bible Club plans to be scrapped.

Yes, I admire that too.

I wonder if their protests ever spark an "a-ha!" moment for anyone. I hope so.

Probably. But I think all they care about is to prevent degrading the separation of church and state.

This is a perfect example of the principle that the First Amendment exists every bit as much, if not more so, to protect unpopular ideas as it does popular ones.

Watching the religious zealots heads explode is a joy. It might be worth a donation!
