Atheists on this board claim that believers do not have a monopoly on morality -- yet they almost universally scoff and belittle the notion of pre-marital abstinence as outmoded old-fashioned nonsense.
That's right, you don't have a monopoly on morality.
As far as abstinence before marriage is concerned, as I said, there's not a firm causality that premarital abstinence is that significant in determining post-marital success.

We obviously aren't going to agree. Every single study I saw that was worth taking seriously did their level best to adjust and compensate for things like religion, culture, income, etc. Those social scientists feel they've actually proven something with their research. They felt that since the world was turned upside-down by the sexual revolution, it was worthwhile to study the impacts of new social norms. It seems to me that there is nothing that could ever convince you, so debating it further is a waste of time. It's a bit like trying to debate with a member of the flat earth society: For every proof you offer, they either have a rebuttal or they'll invent one. So eventually you give up trying to reason with them.
I am curious though. What would it take to convince you that premarital sex is doing real measurable harm to our society? Is it even possible?
A deity that cares what we do with our naughty bits is a silly one.
It has been demonstrated over and over again that what we do with our reproductive organs has a very real impact on other people and society in general. If premarital sex is psychologically and socially toxic, then what kind of loving God wouldn't care about it?

It isn't so we're good. He can focus on stopping wars, ending hunger, and injustices everywhere. The important stuff.

You mean to say people that are indulging in unmarried sex has been keeping him so busy that he hasn't had time to work on those important things?
I guess that's one excuse for not accomplishing much in those matters.
